- 🥩 300g beef sirloin steak
Vegetables
- 🥬 Arugula, as needed
Oil
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Seasoning
- 🧂 Salt and pepper, a pinch
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic
Balsamic Sauce
- 3 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbsp red wine
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍯 1 tbsp honey
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- 🧈 10g salted butter
SCHRITTE
Bring the beef to room temperature for at least 30 minutes. Season with salt and pepper, then rub with grated garlic.
Cut the arugula into bite-sized pieces.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sear the beef for about 2 minutes on each side until browned. Wrap in aluminum foil and let rest for 15 minutes, then slice into 5mm thick pieces.
Wipe the fat from the pan. Add all sauce ingredients except butter and simmer over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until thickened. Remove from heat and stir in butter until melted.
Plate the sliced beef, drizzle with balsamic sauce, and garnish with arugula.
