ZUTATEN
Main
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken breast
- 1 piece (50g) mentaiko
- 🧅 1 stalk green onion
- Potato starch as needed
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Sauce
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp vinegar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp grated ginger
SCHRITTE
Finely chop 1/3 of the green onion for the sauce. Slice the remaining green onion diagonally into thin pieces.
Cut open the mentaiko and extract the contents.
Cover the chicken breast with plastic wrap and pound it with a rolling pin to flatten and even out the thickness. Spread mentaiko in the center, layer sliced green onion on top, and wrap the chicken. Secure with toothpicks and coat with potato starch.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium-low heat. Place the chicken seam-side down, cover with a lid, and cook for about 15 minutes, turning occasionally to brown evenly. Wipe away excess fat as needed.
Once the chicken is cooked and the skin is crispy, remove it from the pan. Discard toothpicks and slice into bite-sized pieces.
Mix the sauce ingredients (sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, sesame oil, grated ginger, and reserved green onion) in a bowl. Pour over the sliced chicken.
