In a bowl, mix the egg and milk, then add the pancake mix and combine to create the batter.

Heat a frying pan with vegetable oil spread thinly using a paper towel. Scoop 1/10 of the batter and pour into the pan to make 5 portions. Lower the heat and place one sausage in the center of each portion. Cook until bubbles appear on the surface.

Using a spatula, fold the edges of the batter over the sausage to enclose it. Cover with a lid and cook on very low heat for 2–3 minutes until fully cooked. Repeat for a total of 10 hot dogs.
