Pastry
- 2 sheets frozen puff pastry (20cm x 20cm)
Vegetable
- 🎃 200g pumpkin, peeled and diced
- 🧅 1/2 onion, finely chopped
Meat
- 120g ground mixed meat
Seasoning
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
Other
- 1 tsp salad oil
- 🥚 Beaten egg for glazing
SCHRITTE
Peel and dice the pumpkin into bite-sized pieces. Microwave in a heatproof container covered with plastic wrap at 600W for 4 minutes until soft, then mash. Finely chop the onion.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan and sauté the ground meat and onion over medium heat until the meat changes color. Add salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce, and mix well.
Combine the sautéed mixture with the mashed pumpkin and mix well. Let it cool to room temperature and divide into 9 portions.
Cut the frozen puff pastry into 9 equal squares.
Use a knife or cutter to shape 9 of the pastry squares into your desired design.
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and place the unshaped pastry squares on it. Add the filling evenly on each square, cover with the shaped pastry, seal the edges with a fork, and brush the surface with beaten egg.
Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
