ZUTATEN
Fish
- 🐟 1/2 fillet Norwegian salted mackerel
Vegetables
- 🥔 2 potatoes (300g), peeled and sliced
- 🧅 1/2 onion, sliced into 1cm strips
- 🍅 8 cherry tomatoes, stems removed
Condiments
- 🍋 1/2 lemon, juiced and sliced
- 🧈 20g salted butter
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- Pinch of black pepper
Liquid
- 💧 150ml water
Herbs
- 3 sprigs of dill
SCHRITTE
Cut the salted mackerel into 4 diagonal slices, removing fins.
Peel and slice potatoes into 8mm rounds, soak in water for 5 minutes, then drain.
Slice onion into 1cm strips, remove tomato stems, and cut lemon into halves.
Layer potatoes, onions, and tomatoes in a pan. Season with salt and pepper, add butter, squeeze lemon juice, and place lemon slices and mackerel on top. Pour water and add dill.
Cover and cook on medium heat until boiling, then reduce to low heat and steam for 10-15 minutes. Check potatoes with a skewer; stop cooking when tender.
