ZUTATEN
Fish
- 🐟 140g horse mackerel fillets (2 pieces)
- 🧂 A pinch of salt and pepper
- 🌾 Enough flour for coating
- 1 tbsp olive oil
Tomato Sauce
- 🍅 1 tomato (200g), chopped
- 🧅 50g minced onion
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 🍋 1 tsp lemon juice
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- 🧂 A pinch of pepper
SCHRITTE
Season the horse mackerel fillets with salt and pepper, then coat them lightly with flour.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat and pan-fry the fillets skin-side down until crispy, about 3–4 minutes per side.
In a separate pan, prepare the tomato sauce by sautéing the minced onion until translucent.
Add the chopped tomato, sugar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the pan. Simmer for 5 minutes until the sauce thickens.
Plate the fried mackerel and pour the tomato sauce over the top. Serve immediately.
