ZUTATEN
Main
- 2 pieces mochi (100g)
- 80g thinly sliced pork belly
- 200g chrysanthemum greens
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1.5 tbsp sesame oil
Batter
- 🥚 1 beaten egg
- 50g all-purpose flour
- 3 tbsp potato starch
- 🧂 1/3 tsp salt
- 💧 50ml water
Sauce
- 1 tbsp ponzu soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp chili oil
SCHRITTE
Cut pork belly in half and season with salt and pepper.
Cut mochi into 1cm cubes. Separate chrysanthemum greens into leaves and stems, slicing stems thinly and leaves into 3cm pieces.
Mix sauce ingredients (ponzu and chili oil) in a bowl.
Combine batter ingredients in a bowl, then add mochi and chrysanthemum greens. Mix well.
Heat a frying pan over medium heat and cook pork belly until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
Add 1/3 of sesame oil to the pan and heat over medium. Pour in batter mixture, flatten evenly, and place cooked pork belly on top.
Cover with a lid and steam-fry over medium-low heat for 8 minutes. Flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
Drizzle remaining sesame oil around the edges and increase heat to high. Cook until the bottom is crispy.
Cut into bite-sized pieces, plate, and serve with sauce.
