- 🎃 1/2 pumpkin
- 🥓 3 strips bacon
- 🧅 1/4 onion
- 🥚 1 egg
- 🌾 1/2 cup flour
- 🍞 1 cup breadcrumbs
- A small amount of cooking oil
SCHRITTE
Wash the pumpkin, remove seeds, steam for 10–12 minutes, peel, and mash. Dice the onion and bacon finely.
Sauté the diced onion and bacon in a heated pan for 1 minute.
Combine mashed pumpkin, sautéed onion, bacon, 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, a pinch of salt, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well.
Shape the mixture into round balls.
Coat each ball in flour, then egg, and finally breadcrumbs.
Press gently with chopsticks to create a pumpkin shape, then deep-fry at 170°C until golden and crispy.
Decorate the croquettes with pretzel sticks or parsley as desired.
