Wrapper
- 6 spring roll wrappers
Fish
- 🐟 200g fresh salmon fillets
Herbs
- 12 shiso leaves
Cheese
- 🧀 80g shredded pizza cheese
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
Oil
- Enough salad oil for frying
Binding Mixture
- 1 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 💧 1 tbsp water
SCHRITTE
Trim the stems off the shiso leaves.
Mix the flour and water in a bowl to create a binding mixture.
Remove the skin and bones from the salmon fillets and cut them into 1cm wide slices. Season with salt and pepper, then coat with mayonnaise.
Place two shiso leaves on a spring roll wrapper, one at the top and one at the bottom. Add 1/6 of the salmon and 1/6 of the cheese on top. Roll the wrapper tightly from the bottom, sealing the edge with the binding mixture. Repeat for all wrappers.
Heat salad oil in a pot to 170°C (340°F). Fry the rolls until the salmon is cooked and the surface is golden brown, turning occasionally.
