- 🦐 150g peeled shrimp
Processed Food
- 1 piece (110g) hanpen
Vegetables
- 🥬 1/8 head (300g) cabbage
- 🧅 1 stalk white part of green onion
- 🍄 4 shiitake mushrooms
Seasonings for Shrimp Balls
- 1/2 tbsp potato starch
- 1/2 tbsp sake
- 🧂 a pinch of salt
Hot Pot Broth
- 💧 500cc water
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 1 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 1 tsp grated ginger
Finishing Ingredients
- 🍚 2 bowls (300g) cooked rice
- 8g tororo kombu
- 🌰 a pinch of white sesame seeds
SCHRITTE
Finely chop the shrimp and mix with hanpen, potato starch, sake, and salt to form a paste. Shape into small balls.
Cut the cabbage into bite-sized pieces, slice the green onion, and remove the stems from the shiitake mushrooms.
In a pot, combine water, sake, mirin, soy sauce, dashi powder, and grated ginger. Bring to a boil.
Add the shrimp balls to the boiling broth and cook until they float to the surface.
Add the cabbage, green onion, and shiitake mushrooms to the pot. Simmer until vegetables are tender.
Serve the hot pot in bowls. Optionally, add cooked rice, tororo kombu, and sesame seeds for a finishing touch.
