- 🐙 100g boiled octopus
- 🧅 3 stalks green onion
- 3 tbsp tempura flakes
- 1 tbsp pickled ginger
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Batter
- 🥚 1 egg
- 💧 300ml water
- 1 tsp dashi powder
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 100g cake flour
Toppings
- 2g chopped seaweed
- Pinch of shichimi pepper
SCHRITTE
Slice green onion into small pieces and roughly chop pickled ginger.
Cut boiled octopus into 1cm wide pieces.
In a bowl, mix the batter ingredients (egg, water, dashi powder, soy sauce, cake flour) sequentially.
Heat the takoyaki pan with salad oil using a paper towel, then pour in the batter. Add octopus, green onion, pickled ginger, and tempura flakes. Pour more batter until overflowing.
Cook for 3–5 minutes until golden brown, then use skewers to push the overflowing batter back into the takoyaki and flip.
Once evenly browned, plate the takoyaki and sprinkle with chopped seaweed and shichimi pepper.
