Juicy Fried Chicken
- 🍗 350g chicken thigh
- 2 tbsp shiso dressing
- 🥚 1 egg
- 5 tbsp flour
- 4 tbsp potato starch
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
Tender Shiso Braised Chicken
- 🥔 10cm daikon radish
- 🍗 8 chicken wings
- 120ml shiso dressing
- 💧 200ml water
Shiso Mixed Rice
- 🌱 100g frozen edamame
- 🍚 2 cups washed rice
- 5 tbsp shiso dressing
- 💧 Enough water to cook rice
- 🐟 1 slice salted salmon
- Enough shredded nori for garnish
SCHRITTE
Cut chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces.
Marinate chicken in a bag with shiso dressing for 10 minutes.
Add egg, flour, and potato starch to the bag and mix well.
Heat oil to 170°C and fry chicken for 4–5 minutes. Drain excess oil.
Peel and slice daikon radish into 1cm thick pieces.
Add chicken wings, daikon, shiso dressing, and water to a pot. Bring to a boil.
Cover with a drop lid and simmer on low heat for 15 minutes.
Defrost edamame and remove beans from pods.
Add rice, shiso dressing, and water to the rice cooker. Place salmon on top and cook.
Mix cooked rice with edamame, serve, and garnish with shredded nori.
