    • 2 tbsp black sesame paste
    • 1 tbsp ground black sesame
  • Soup Base

    • 💧 400cc water
    • 🍶 1 tbsp sake
    • 🧂 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
    • 🍗 1/2 tsp chicken stock powder
  • Toppings

    • Chili oil to taste
    • Shredded chili for garnish

Chop the chives into 5mm pieces. Mince the ginger and green onion.

Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat. Add ginger and green onion, and sauté until fragrant. Add ground pork, garlic paste, and doubanjiang, and cook until well combined.

Add water, sake, soy sauce, and chicken stock powder to the pot. Bring to a boil, skim off any foam, cover, and simmer on low heat for 8 minutes.

In a small heatproof bowl, mix black sesame paste with a small amount of the soup to dissolve. Add this mixture back into the pot and stir well.

Add ground black sesame, bean sprouts, and chives to the pot. Bring to a boil over medium heat and cook for 1 minute.

Serve cooked rice in bowls and pour the black sesame tantan soup evenly over the rice. Garnish with chili oil and shredded chili as desired.
