INGREDIENTES

- 600g pork belly
Vegetables
- 🧅 1 red onion
- 50g shredded green onion
Condiments
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
Sauce
- 💧 1 cup water
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 🍯 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp sesame oil
PASOS
Boil the whole pork belly (600g) in boiling water along with one whole red onion (skin on) to remove any odors.
Simmer on medium heat for about 30 minutes until the pork is tender enough for a chopstick to pierce through. Remove and rinse under cold water.
Slice the pork belly into 1.5–2cm thick pieces and pan-fry until golden brown.
Prepare the sauce by mixing 1 cup water, 3 tbsp soy sauce, and 1 tbsp sugar. Simmer the pork belly in the sauce until the liquid is almost gone. Add 2 tbsp honey and 1 tsp sesame oil, stirring gently to coat the pork.
Arrange shredded green onion seasoned with sesame oil and salt in the center of a plate. Place the pork belly slices around the edges for a clean and elegant presentation.
