INGREDIENTES
Base
- 🍚 1 bowl (200g) cooked rice
Shrimp Patty
- 🍤 100g peeled shrimp
- 1 piece (100g) hanpen fish cake
- 🌾 As needed all-purpose flour
- 🥚 1 beaten egg
- 🍞 As needed breadcrumbs
- As needed vegetable oil
Seasoning
- 🧂 A pinch of salt
- A dash of pepper
- 1/2 tbsp potato starch
Sauce
- 1/2 tbsp tonkatsu sauce
- 🍅 1/2 tbsp ketchup
- 🥪 1/3 tbsp mayonnaise
Garnish
- 🥬 As needed shredded cabbage
PASOS
Remove the vein from the shrimp, wash under water, and pat dry with a paper towel. Roughly chop the shrimp.
Mix the sauce ingredients (tonkatsu sauce, ketchup, mayonnaise) in a bowl.
Place the hanpen in a plastic bag and mash it by hand. Add the shrimp, salt, pepper, and potato starch to the bag and knead until well combined. Shape into oval patties inside the bag.
Lightly dust a cutting board with flour. Remove the patties from the bag, coat them lightly with flour, then dip in beaten egg and coat with breadcrumbs.
Heat vegetable oil in a pot to 170°C (340°F). Fry the patties for 2 minutes until golden brown, flip, and fry for another 2 minutes until cooked through.
Serve rice in a bowl, layer shredded cabbage, place the shrimp patties on top, and drizzle with the prepared sauce.
