INGREDIENTES
Meat
- 2 slices of ham
Vegetables
- 1/3 piece bitter melon (60g)
Noodles
- 20g vermicelli
Oil
- 1 tsp sesame oil
Seasoning
- 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
- a pinch of pepper
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1/3 tsp chicken stock powder
- 💧 400ml water
PASOS
Cut the bitter melon in half lengthwise and remove seeds and pith with a spoon. Slice into 3mm pieces. Rub with 1/4 tsp salt (not listed in ingredients) and let sit for 10 minutes until water is released. Rinse and drain. Cut vermicelli into manageable lengths.
Cut ham in half and slice into 5mm strips.
In a pot, combine all seasoning ingredients and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add bitter melon, ham, and vermicelli. Simmer on low heat for about 2 minutes until vermicelli softens. Drizzle sesame oil before serving.
