INGREDIENTES
Rice
- 🍚 200g cooked rice
Fish
- 🐟 80g mackerel fillet
Vegetables
- 🧅 30g sliced onion
- 1-2 shiso leaves
Condiments
- 1 tsp salad oil
- 1/2 tbsp mayonnaise
- A pinch of shichimi chili powder
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
PASOS
Thinly slice the onion and soak in water to remove bitterness. Drain well. Cut the stems off the shiso leaves and julienne them.
Pat the mackerel fillet dry with a paper towel.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the mackerel skin-side down and cook until golden brown. Flip and cook for another 3 minutes until fully cooked. Add sake, mirin, and soy sauce, and cook until the sauce thickens.
Transfer the cooked mackerel to a bowl and roughly flake it. Add the drained onion, mayonnaise, and shichimi chili powder, and mix gently.
Serve the rice in a bowl, top with the mackerel mixture, and drizzle with the sauce. Garnish with shiso leaves and additional shichimi chili powder if desired.
