INGREDIENTES
Main
- 1 piece (50g) mochi
- 100g thinly sliced pork belly
- 25g mentaiko (1/2 piece)
- 🧀 30g pizza cheese
- 🥬 150g cabbage, chopped
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Batter
- 100g all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 💧 100ml water
- 🥚 1 egg
- 2 tbsp tempura flakes
Toppings
- Okonomiyaki sauce, as needed
- Mayonnaise, as needed
- Bonito flakes, as needed
- Aonori (seaweed powder), as needed
PASOS
Chop the cabbage into coarse pieces and cut the mochi into quarters.
Cut the mentaiko into quarters.
Slice the pork belly into 4cm wide pieces.
Mix flour, dashi powder, and water in a bowl. Add egg, tempura flakes, and cabbage, and mix gently to incorporate air into the batter.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan. Spread a portion of the batter into a circle, layer pork belly, mochi, and mentaiko on top, then cover with remaining batter. Cook on medium heat until golden brown, flip, sprinkle cheese, and cover with a lid. Cook on low-medium heat until fully cooked.
Serve on a plate and add toppings: okonomiyaki sauce, mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and aonori.
