INGREDIENTES
Rice
- 🍚 2 cups soaked rice
Seafood
- 200g cleaned shijimi clams
Vegetables
- 100g maitake mushrooms
- 🥕 1/2 carrot, julienned
Liquid
- 💧 Water as needed
Seasoning for Shijimi
- 50cc sake
- 💧 50cc water
Seasoning for Rice
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
PASOS
Julienne the carrot and break the maitake mushrooms into bite-sized pieces.
In a pot, add shijimi clams and the seasoning for shijimi (sake and water). Heat over medium heat until boiling, then cover and cook until the clams open. Remove the clams and extract the meat.
In a rice cooker, add the soaked rice, clam broth, seasoning for rice, and water up to the 2-cup mark. Mix well and flatten the rice. Top with clam meat, carrot, and maitake mushrooms. Cook using the regular rice setting.
