INGREDIENTES
Vegetables
- 400g daikon radish, peeled and cut
- Chopped green onion, as needed
Canned Goods
- 200g canned mackerel in water
Condiments
- 1 tbsp grated ginger
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp sugar
Liquids
- 250ml water
PASOS
Peel the daikon radish and cut it into bite-sized pieces.
Place the daikon and 50ml of water in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 5 minutes.
In a pot, heat the remaining 200ml of water over medium heat. Once boiling, add the seasoning ingredients (soy sauce, mirin, sake, sugar), grated ginger, and the microwaved daikon along with its liquid. Simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the canned mackerel, breaking it into four pieces, and simmer for another 3 minutes. Serve in a bowl and garnish with chopped green onion.
