    • 🥬 400g Miura daikon
    • 2 slices of ginger
  • Seasonings

    • 150cc water
    • 2 tbsp sake
    • 2 tbsp mirin
    • 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
    • 🧂 2 tbsp soy sauce

Cut the Miura daikon into 2cm thick slices, peel thickly, and quarter each slice.

Place the daikon in a pot with enough water to cover it. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes until tender.

Cut the yellowtail into bite-sized pieces. Place on a strainer and pour hot water over it. Pat dry with kitchen paper.

In a separate pot, combine the seasonings (water, sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce) and bring to a boil over medium heat. Add the yellowtail and ginger slices, then bring to a boil again. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.

Remove the yellowtail from the pot, add the daikon, and bring to a boil again. Cover and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes.

Return the yellowtail to the pot, cover, and simmer on low heat for another 10 minutes.
