INGREDIENTES
Main Ingredients
- 200g taro, peeled and sliced
- 🦑 250g squid, cleaned and chopped
- 1 slice ginger
Seasonings
- 💧 400ml water
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp dashi powder
PASOS
Clean the squid by removing the innards, cartilage, and beak. Cut the tentacles into smaller pieces and slice the body into bite-sized pieces.
Peel and slice the taro into 2cm thick pieces. Slice the ginger thinly.
In a pot, combine water, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, and dashi powder. Heat over medium heat until boiling, then add squid and ginger. Cook for 1 minute until squid changes color, then remove squid.
Add taro to the pot, cover, and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes until taro is tender.
Return squid to the pot and simmer on low-medium heat for 5 minutes.
