  • Rice

    • 🍚 2 cups soaked rice
  • Seafood

    • 🐙 100g boiled octopus
  • Vegetables

    • 10g mitsuba
    • 1/2 piece ginger, julienned
  • Seasoning

    • 100cc cooking broth
    • 💧 Water as needed
    • 5cm dried kombu
  • Octopus Cooking Seasoning

    • 💧 150cc water
    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 2 tbsp mirin
    • 🧂 1.5 tbsp soy sauce

Cut mitsuba into 2cm pieces and julienne the ginger.

Make small cuts into the boiled octopus and slice into bite-sized pieces.

In a pot, bring the octopus cooking seasoning to a boil, add octopus and ginger, cover, and simmer on low heat for 10 minutes. Reserve 100cc of the broth and let it cool.

Add soaked rice, reserved broth, and water to the rice cooker. Place kombu on top and cook as usual.

Remove kombu, add cooked octopus, and gently mix. Let it steam on warm mode for 5 minutes.

Add mitsuba and mix lightly before serving.
