    • 🐟 200g yellowtail fillets
  • Vegetables

    • 🥔 250g daikon, peeled and cut
    • 🌱 25g chives, cut into 3cm pieces
  • Seasoning

    • 🧂 Pinch of salt
    • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    • 1 tbsp sake
    • 2 tbsp mirin
    • 1.5 tbsp soy sauce
    • 1/2 tsp chicken stock powder
    • 1/2 tsp grated ginger
    • 1/2 tsp grated garlic
    • 1/2 tsp doubanjiang
    • 300ml water
  • Thickening Agent

    • 1 tbsp cornstarch
    • 1 tbsp water

PASOS

Peel the daikon and cut into bite-sized pieces. Cut the chives into 3cm lengths.

Sprinkle salt on both sides of the yellowtail fillets.

Heat half the sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the yellowtail and cook for 2 minutes on each side until browned. Remove from the pan.

Wipe the pan clean and heat the remaining sesame oil. Add the daikon and stir-fry over medium heat.

Add the seasoning ingredients (sake, mirin, soy sauce, chicken stock powder, ginger, garlic, doubanjiang, and water). Mix well and bring to a boil. Cover and simmer over low-medium heat for 10-15 minutes.

Return the yellowtail to the pan and add the chives. Simmer briefly.

Mix the cornstarch and water to create a slurry. Add to the pan and stir until the sauce thickens.
