    • 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
  • Vegetables

    • 🍠 1 piece (180g) sweet potato
    • 6 pieces green beans
  • Cooking Oil

    • 1/2 tbsp salad oil
  • Seasoning

    • 💧 150cc water
    • 1 tbsp mirin
    • 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
    • 🧂 2 tbsp soy sauce

Wash the sweet potato thoroughly, trim both ends, and slice into 1cm thick rounds. Soak in water and drain. Trim the ends of the green beans and cut diagonally into 2–3 pieces.

Remove excess fat and tendons from the chicken thigh and cut into bite-sized pieces.

Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the chicken skin-side down and cook for about 2 minutes until browned. Flip and cook for another 2 minutes until the color changes. Add sweet potatoes and stir until coated with oil.

Add the seasoning ingredients (water, mirin, sugar, soy sauce) and mix. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low heat for 5–6 minutes.

Add the green beans, cover again, and simmer for another 2–3 minutes.
