INGREDIENTES
Meat
- 6 slices thinly sliced pork belly
Vegetables
- 🧅 1/2 onion, cut into wedges
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- Cornstarch as needed
Cooking Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
Finish
- Pinch of black pepper
PASOS
Cut the onion into 6 wedges.
Spread pork slices, season with salt and pepper, and dust with cornstarch. Wrap each onion wedge with pork.
Heat salad oil in a pan and place the pork-wrapped onions seam-side down. Cook over medium heat until browned, turning occasionally.
Remove excess oil with a paper towel, add sake, cover, and steam for 1–2 minutes until the onion is tender.
Add mirin and soy sauce, and cook until the sauce thickens and coats the pork. Sprinkle with black pepper before serving.
