INGREDIENTES
Main
- 🐙 100g boiled octopus
- 🧅 3 stalks green onion, chopped
- 1 tbsp pickled ginger
- 3 tbsp tempura flakes
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Batter
- 🥚 1 egg
- 💧 300ml water
- 1 tsp dashi powder
- 30g grated yam
- 🌾 100g all-purpose flour
Toppings
- Takoyaki sauce, as needed
- Mayonnaise, as needed
- Bonito flakes, as needed
- Aonori (seaweed powder), as needed
PASOS
Chop the green onion into small pieces. Roughly chop the pickled ginger. Grate the yam.
Cut the boiled octopus into bite-sized pieces.
In a bowl, beat the egg and mix in water, dashi powder, and grated yam. Gradually add flour and mix until smooth.
Heat the takoyaki pan and lightly grease it with salad oil. Pour the batter into each mold until halfway full. Add octopus, green onion, pickled ginger, and tempura flakes. Pour more batter to overflow the molds.
Cook for 3–5 minutes until golden brown. Use a skewer to push the overflowed batter back into the molds and flip the takoyaki.
Once evenly browned, serve on a plate. Top with takoyaki sauce, mayonnaise, bonito flakes, and aonori.
