INGRÉDIENTS
Protein
- 🐖 150g thinly sliced pork belly
Vegetables
- 1/3 bunch chives, cut into 3cm pieces
- 🥕 1/3 carrot, thinly sliced
- 1/2 bamboo shoot (boiled), thinly sliced
Staple
- 100g somen noodles (2 bundles)
Oils and Aromatics
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 🧄 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 piece ginger, minced
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1/2 tbsp mirin
- 🧂 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp chicken broth powder
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 💧 400ml water
ÉTAPES
Cut chives into 3cm pieces. Thinly slice carrot and bamboo shoot.
Cut the pork belly into bite-sized pieces.
In a bowl, mix all the seasonings (sake, mirin, soy sauce, chicken broth powder, cornstarch, and water).
Boil somen noodles according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
Heat sesame oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add somen noodles and cook until golden brown on both sides. Remove and set aside.
In the same pan, heat salad oil and sauté garlic and ginger until fragrant. Add pork and carrot, cooking until the pork changes color.
Add bamboo shoot, chives, and the prepared seasoning mixture. Cook until the sauce thickens.
Serve the browned somen noodles on a plate and pour the vegetable and pork mixture over the top.
