- 🥓 80g thick-cut bacon
Vegetables
- 🥔 2 medium potatoes (300g)
- 🧅 1/2 onion (100g), sliced

- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Seasonings
- 💧 100cc water
- 2 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
ÉTAPES
Cut the thick-cut bacon into bite-sized pieces.
Peel and cut the potatoes into bite-sized pieces. Soak them in water for 5 minutes, then drain. Slice the onion thinly.
Heat salad oil in a pot over medium heat. Add bacon and onion, and sauté until the onion becomes translucent.
Add potatoes to the pot and stir until their surface becomes translucent. Add all seasonings except soy sauce, mix, cover, and simmer on low heat for 7–8 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
Add soy sauce and simmer for another 5 minutes.
Uncover the pot, increase to medium heat, and cook for 2–3 minutes while stirring occasionally to evaporate excess liquid.
