- 🥓 5 strips bacon
- 🍚 1 bowl cooked rice
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
Sauce
- 🧄 1/3 tbsp minced garlic
- 1 tbsp cooking wine
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- a pinch of pepper
- 💧 1 tbsp water
ÉTAPES
Cut 5 strips of bacon in half to make 10 pieces.
Mix 1 bowl of cooked rice with 1/2 tbsp sesame oil and shape into bite-sized rice balls using gloved hands.
Wrap each rice ball with a strip of bacon.
Prepare the sauce by mixing 1/3 tbsp minced garlic, 1 tbsp cooking wine, 1 tbsp soy sauce, 1 tbsp corn syrup, a pinch of pepper, and 1 tbsp water.
Heat a pan over low heat and place the bacon-wrapped rice balls seam-side down to prevent the bacon from unrolling.
Once the bacon is golden, spoon half of the prepared sauce over the rice balls.
Flip the rice balls and pour the remaining sauce over them.
Simmer the rice balls in the sauce until it is absorbed and the bacon is caramelized.
