INGRÉDIENTS
Pork
- 8 slices thinly sliced pork belly (200g)
- Sufficient amount of thickener for pork
- 🧂 A pinch of salt
- A pinch of pepper
Vegetables
- 1/2 bamboo shoot (boiled)
- 4 asparagus spears
Cooking Oil
- 1/2 tbsp salad oil
Garnish
- Sufficient amount of white sesame seeds
Sauce
- Sufficient amount of thickener for sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 🧂 2 tsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 💧 200cc water
ÉTAPES
Pat the bamboo shoot dry, cut it in half horizontally, then slice into 6 vertical pieces. Trim the asparagus ends, peel the lower half, and cut into thirds.
Cut the pork slices in half. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and thickener, then wrap each piece around bamboo shoot and asparagus.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Place the pork wraps seam-side down and cook, turning to brown evenly.
Add the sauce ingredients (sake, mirin, sugar, soy sauce, dashi powder, and water) to the pan. Bring to a boil, simmer for 2 minutes, then thicken with the thickener while stirring.
Plate the pork wraps and sprinkle with white sesame seeds before serving.
