INGRÉDIENTS
Bread
- 🍞 1 loaf French bread
Meat
- 🥓 4 slices bacon
Cheese / Dairy
- 🧀 5 slices cheese
Vegetables
- 1/4 red bell pepper, sliced
Basil Paste
- 🌿 40g fresh basil
- 🧄 2 cloves garlic
- 🌰 40g pine nuts
- 150ml olive oil
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- 🧀 30g grated cheese
ÉTAPES
Slice the red bell pepper into 1cm wide strips. Cut the French bread in a crisscross pattern using chopsticks as a guide.
Cut the bacon into thirds.
Blend all basil paste ingredients in a mixer until smooth.
Spread the basil paste into the bread cuts and insert slices of cheese, bacon, and red bell pepper.
Place the prepared bread on a baking tray, cover with aluminum foil, and bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden brown.
