INGRÉDIENTS
Meat
- 🥩 200g beef (curry cut)
Vegetables
- 🥬 240g daikon (8cm piece)
- 🧄 1 clove garlic, minced
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
Oil
- 1.5 tbsp salad oil
Seasoning
- 2 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp grated ginger
- 💧 200ml water
ÉTAPES
Cut daikon into 1cm thick slices after quartering it lengthwise. Mince garlic.
Boil daikon in a pan with enough water to cover it for 5 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Heat salad oil and garlic in a pan over low heat until fragrant. Add beef and cook on medium heat until browned.
Add daikon to the pan and stir to coat with oil. Add the seasoning mixture (sake, mirin, soy sauce, ginger, and water) and bring to a boil.
Cover the pan and simmer on low heat for 20 minutes.
Uncover and simmer for an additional 5 minutes to thicken the sauce.
Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onion.
