Udon
- 1 frozen udon noodle pack
Beef
- 100g sliced beef
Vegetables
- 🍅 1/4 tomato
Oil
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Egg
- 🥚 1 onsen egg
Sweet Soy Sauce
- 2 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 🧂 1 tsp sugar
Soup Base
- 1 tbsp mirin
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1/2 tsp Japanese dashi powder
- 100ml water
ÉTAPES
Cut the tomato into halves vertically.
Heat salad oil in a pan, add sliced beef, and stir-fry on medium heat until the beef changes color. Add sweet soy sauce ingredients and mix well.
In a pot, combine soup base ingredients and heat until just before boiling. Transfer to a heat-resistant container and chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes.
Boil the udon noodles according to package instructions. Wash under cold water and submerge in ice water to firm up the texture. Drain well.
Plate the udon noodles, top with beef, onsen egg, and tomato slices. Pour the chilled soup base over the dish.
