INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🧈 2 blocks tofu
- 🧅 1/2 onion, sliced
- 1 scallion, sliced
- 1 green chili, chopped
- 1/2 red chili, chopped
Seasonings
- 3 tbsp chili powder
- 8 tbsp soy sauce
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 🍬 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
- 💧 1/2 cup water
ÉTAPES
Chop 1 green chili and 1/2 red chili finely. Slice 1/2 onion and 1 scallion for topping.
Mix chili powder, soy sauce, minced garlic, sugar, sesame oil, sesame seeds, and water to create the sauce.
Slice tofu into thick pieces and pat dry with a paper towel.
Heat oil in a frying pan and fry tofu until golden brown on both sides.
Place sliced onion on top of the fried tofu and pour the prepared sauce over it.
Add scallions on top and simmer until the sauce is absorbed and tofu is well-coated.
Serve the braised tofu with rice for a complete meal.
