- 2 roots of burdock
- 2 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 cups cooking oil
Seasoning
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 🍬 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp corn syrup
- 💧 3 tbsp water
- A pinch of chili powder
- 🌰 A pinch of sesame seeds
ÉTAPES
Wash the burdock thoroughly, slice diagonally, and soak in cold water for 10 minutes. Drain the water.
Pat dry the burdock slices with a kitchen towel and mix with 1 tbsp of cornstarch.
When the burdock becomes moist, add another 1 tbsp of cornstarch and mix well.
Deep-fry the burdock slices until crispy.
Remove excess oil from the fried burdock slices.
Prepare the sauce by boiling soy sauce, sugar, corn syrup, water, and chili powder together.
Mix the fried burdock slices evenly with the sauce.
Sprinkle sesame seeds on top and plate attractively.
