INGRÉDIENTS
Vegetables
- 1 block konjac (250g)
- 1 stalk green onion
- 🧄 1 clove sliced garlic
Oils and Seasonings
- 1/2 tbsp sesame oil for frying
- 🧂 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp sake
- 1 tbsp white sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp sesame oil for finishing
ÉTAPES
Score both sides of the konjac block in a grid pattern and cut into bite-sized pieces.
Boil water in a frying pan, add the konjac, and re-boil. Drain to remove odor.
Slice the white part of the green onion thinly and diagonally slice the green part.
Heat sesame oil and garlic in a frying pan until fragrant, then add konjac and fry over medium heat until browned on both sides.
Add the white part of the green onion and stir-fry briefly until coated with oil.
Add sake and salt, stir-frying until the liquid evaporates.
Plate the dish, garnish with white sesame seeds and the green part of the green onion, then drizzle hot sesame oil over the top.
