Wrapper
- 8 spring roll wrappers
Meat
- 150g ground pork
Vegetables
- 🥔 180g potatoes, small, sliced
- 40g bell pepper, sliced
Oil
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- salad oil, as needed
Cheese
- 🧀 120g pizza cheese
Seasoning
- 🍅 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp tonkatsu sauce
- 🧂 salt and pepper, a pinch
Binding
- 1/2 tbsp flour
- 💧 1/2 tbsp water
ÉTAPES
Slice potatoes thinly and soak in water to remove excess starch. Drain. Slice bell pepper thinly after removing seeds and stem.
Mix ketchup, tonkatsu sauce, and salt and pepper in a bowl to create the seasoning mixture.
Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Cook ground pork until browned. Add potatoes and bell pepper, cooking until potatoes become slightly translucent.
Add the seasoning mixture to the pan and stir to combine. Remove from heat and let cool.
Place 1/8 of the filling and cheese onto each spring roll wrapper. Roll tightly and seal the edges with the flour-water mixture. Repeat for all wrappers.
Heat salad oil to 170°C in a deep pan. Fry the spring rolls for 3–4 minutes until golden brown, turning occasionally.
