- 6 slices pork loin (120g)
Vegetables
- 🥔 3 potatoes (300g)
Dairy
- 🥛 2 tbsp milk
- 🧀 60g pizza cheese
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Sauce
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
ÉTAPES
Cut potatoes into bite-sized pieces and soak in water. Drain the water.
Place potatoes and 1 tbsp water in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 5 minutes until soft. Drain water and mash with a fork while hot.
Mix mashed potatoes with milk and salt and pepper. Divide into 6 portions.
Divide pizza cheese into 6 portions and shape into small balls.
Wrap each cheese ball with mashed potato mixture and shape into a round ball. Wrap each ball with pork slices and coat with cornstarch.
Heat salad oil in a pan over medium heat. Place wrapped balls seam-side down and cook until pork changes color. Roll to cook evenly on all sides.
Add sake, mirin, sugar, and soy sauce to the pan and simmer until the sauce thickens and coats the balls.
