- 🍗 200g ground chicken
Vegetables
- 🥬 1 head bok choy (100g)
- 🧅 1/4 stalk green onion, minced
Seasonings
- 1 tbsp sake
- 🍬 1/2 tsp sugar
- 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
- A pinch of pepper
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp potato starch
Condiments
- 🧂 Soy sauce, as needed
- Mustard, as needed
ÉTAPES
Mince the green onion. Separate 6 outer leaves of bok choy and cut the remaining part in half lengthwise. Place the bok choy in a microwave-safe container, cover loosely with plastic wrap, and microwave at 600W for 1 minute. Rinse with water and pat dry with a paper towel.
In a bowl, mix ground chicken, minced green onion, and all seasonings (☆) until sticky. Divide into 6 portions and shape into balls.
Place a chicken ball on the root end of each bok choy leaf and wrap it. Repeat for all 6 pieces.
Arrange the wrapped shumai and the halved bok choy in a microwave-safe container. Cover loosely with plastic wrap and microwave at 600W for 4 minutes. Let it sit for 2 minutes to finish cooking with residual heat.
Serve the shumai and halved bok choy on a plate. Add soy sauce and mustard on the side as condiments.
