Vegetables
- 150g lotus root, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 1/2 scallion, roughly chopped
Protein
- 🍗 4 chicken tenderloins, sliced
Seasoning
- 🧂 Pinch of salt and pepper
- Potato starch for coating
- 1 tbsp salad oil
Marinade
- 1/2 tbsp sake
- 1 tsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp grated ginger
Sauce
- 🍬 1 tsp sugar
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 🧄 1/2 tsp grated garlic
- 1/2 tsp chili paste
ÉTAPES
Cut the lotus root into bite-sized pieces and soak in water. Drain and set aside. Roughly chop the scallion.
Remove tendons from the chicken tenderloins and slice them. Mix the chicken with sake, soy sauce, grated ginger, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Coat with potato starch.
Mix all sauce ingredients in a bowl and add the chopped scallion.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Stir-fry the chicken and lotus root until golden and cooked through. Plate and drizzle the sauce over.
