Vegetables
- 1/2 bunch chives
- 20 perilla leaves
- 🧅 1/2 onion
- 4-5 green chilies
Batter
- 2 cups pancake flour
- 🥚 2 eggs
- 💧 2/3 cup water
Dipping Sauce
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 💧 3 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 1/4 tbsp chili powder
- 🍬 1/4 tsp sugar
- A dash of sesame oil
- A dash of sesame seeds
ÉTAPES
Prepare the ingredients by slicing the onion, green chilies, and perilla leaves. Cut the chives into 5-6 cm pieces and rinse them.
Mix pancake flour, eggs, water, and a pinch of salt to create the batter.
Add the chives to the batter and gently mix until combined.
Heat a pan with enough oil and pour two ladles of batter. Spread it thinly.
Cook for 3 minutes on high heat until golden brown. Optionally, place red chili slices on top for decoration.
Flip the pancake, reduce to medium heat, add a drizzle of oil, and cook for another 3 minutes.
Prepare the dipping sauce by mixing soy sauce, water, vinegar, chili powder, sugar, sesame oil, and sesame seeds.
