- 🦑 150g frozen squid strips
Coating
- 2 tbsp potato starch
Cooking Oil
- 4 tbsp salad oil
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp sake
- 2 tbsp mirin
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 🧂 1 tbsp soy sauce
Garnish
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
ÉTAPES
Pat the squid dry with paper towels and coat evenly with potato starch.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Add the squid and pan-fry for 2–3 minutes, flipping occasionally, until golden brown. Remove and set aside.
Wipe the excess oil from the pan with paper towels. Add sake, mirin, sugar, and soy sauce to the pan. Heat over medium heat while stirring until the mixture bubbles.
Return the squid to the pan and coat evenly with the sauce. Serve on a plate and garnish with chopped green onion.
