    • 1/3 stalk long green onion
    • 2 tbsp miso
    • 1/3 tsp Japanese dashi powder

Cut daikon into quarters lengthwise, then slice into 5mm thick pieces. Peel and cut satoimo into bite-sized pieces. Rub satoimo with 1/2 tsp salt until sticky, rinse under running water, and drain. Slice green onion diagonally.

Cut chicken thigh into bite-sized pieces.

Add chicken and water to a pot, heat over medium, and remove scum when boiling. Add daikon, satoimo, green onion, and dashi powder. Cover and simmer over low heat for 10 minutes until satoimo is tender.

Dissolve miso into the soup and heat until just before boiling.

Serve in bowls and garnish with chopped green onion.
