- 🧅 1/2 onion, finely chopped
- 🍎 1/4 apple or pear, finely chopped
- 🧄 1 tbsp minced garlic
- 100ml soy sauce
- 🧂 50ml sugar
- 💧 100ml water
Chicken Frying Ingredients
- 🍗 500g chicken breast, cut into pieces
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- Pinch of ground pepper
- 100ml frying flour
- 💧 80ml water
- 🥜 Pinch of peanuts
ÉTAPES
Finely chop the onion and apple (or pear).
Combine garlic, soy sauce, sugar, and water with the chopped onion and apple.
Blend the mixture until smooth.
Simmer the blended mixture until thickened, then strain to create a clear sauce.
Season the chicken pieces with salt and pepper, then refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
Mix frying flour with water until smooth, avoiding overmixing.
Coat the marinated chicken pieces with the batter.
Deep-fry the chicken at 190°C for 9 minutes. Fry twice for extra crispiness.
Drain excess oil from the fried chicken.
Cook the fried chicken in a pan with the mother sauce and syrup (adjust sweetness to taste).
Sprinkle peanuts on top for added texture and flavor.
