    • 💧 50 ml water
  • Sauce

    • 1 tbsp ponzu soy sauce
    • 1 tsp sesame oil
    • 1 tsp white sesame seeds
    • Chili oil to taste

Cut the green onions into 3–4 cm pieces.

Heat a pan over medium heat and cook the mackerel for 2–3 minutes on each side. Remove skin and bones, then flake the fish.

Mix the sauce ingredients (ponzu, sesame oil, sesame seeds, chili oil) in a bowl.

Combine the batter ingredients (egg, flour, potato starch, salt, water) in a bowl. Add the mackerel and green onions, and mix well.

Heat 1 tbsp sesame oil in a pan, pour the batter, and flatten it. Cook for 3 minutes until golden brown, then flip. Add the remaining sesame oil around the edges and cook for another 3 minutes.
