INGRÉDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 140g horse mackerel fillets
Vegetables
- 🧅 1/2 onion, thinly sliced
- 🥕 35g carrot, julienned
Seasoning
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- Enough salad oil to cover pan bottom
Nanban Sauce
- 🍬 1/2 tbsp sugar
- 100cc ponzu sauce
- 💧 50cc water
- 1 tsp sliced chili pepper
ÉTAPES
Cut horse mackerel fillets into bite-sized pieces and coat with potato starch, shaking off excess powder.
Thinly slice the onion and julienne the carrot.
Mix sugar, ponzu sauce, water, and sliced chili pepper in a large bowl to make Nanban sauce.
Heat salad oil in a frying pan until it covers the bottom. Fry the horse mackerel pieces over medium-low heat until golden brown on both sides. Remove and immediately immerse in Nanban sauce.
Add onion and carrot to the bowl with Nanban sauce and fish. Let it marinate for 15 minutes.
