INGRÉDIENTS
Fish
- 🐟 250g cod fillets
- 🧂 1/4 tsp salt
- Pinch of pepper
- 🍞 1/3 cup breadcrumbs
- Enough vegetable oil for frying
Batter
- 🥚 1 egg
- 🌾 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 💧 1 tbsp water
Tartar Sauce
- 🥚 1 boiled egg
- 🧅 1/8 onion, minced
- 🌿 2 tsp chopped parsley
- Pinch of salt and pepper
- 🥪 3 tbsp mayonnaise
ÉTAPES
Mince the onion, soak in water, and drain.
Remove the skin from the cod, cut into thirds, and sprinkle with salt. Let sit for 5 minutes.
In a bowl, mix the egg, flour, and water to create the batter.
Pat the cod dry with paper towels, season with pepper, dip in the batter, and coat with breadcrumbs.
Heat 2cm of vegetable oil in a pan to 170°C, fry the cod until golden brown and cooked through.
Mash the boiled egg in a bowl, mix with the remaining tartar sauce ingredients.
Serve the fried cod on a plate and drizzle with tartar sauce.
