INGRÉDIENTS
Main Ingredients
- 🍗 1 piece (250g) chicken thigh
- 6cm (162g) daikon
- 🧂 Pinch of salt
- 1 tbsp potato starch
- Vegetable oil, as needed
Sauce Ingredients
- 2 tbsp concentrated soy sauce (3x)
- 1 tbsp vinegar
- 💧 50cc water
Garnish
- 🧅 Chopped green onion, as needed
ÉTAPES
Cut the daikon into quarters lengthwise, then slice into 1.5cm pieces. Pat dry with paper towels.
Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces, sprinkle with salt, and coat with potato starch.
Mix the sauce ingredients (soy sauce, vinegar, and water) in a tray.
Heat 3cm of vegetable oil in a pot to 170°C. Fry the daikon for 3–4 minutes, then remove. Fry the chicken for 4–5 minutes until cooked through, then remove.
While still hot, mix the fried daikon and chicken in the sauce tray. Let sit for 5 minutes.
Plate the dish and garnish with chopped green onion.
