Garlic Scape Ingredients
- 350g garlic scapes
- 🧄 1 cup peeled garlic
- 🧂 A pinch of salt
Gochujang Seasoning Ingredients
- 4 tbsp gochujang
- 2 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 tbsp plum extract
- 1 tbsp corn syrup
- 1 tbsp sesame seeds
ÉTAPES
Boil water in a pot and prepare the ingredients. Cut garlic scapes into suitable lengths and rinse to remove excess water. Prepare 1 cup of peeled garlic.
Once the water boils, add a pinch of salt and the peeled garlic first. After the water boils again, add the garlic scapes and blanch for 1 minute on high heat.
Immediately rinse the blanched ingredients under cold running water and remove excess moisture.
While drying the ingredients, prepare the gochujang seasoning by mixing all seasoning ingredients in a bowl.
Combine the blanched garlic scapes and garlic with the seasoning and sesame seeds in a bowl. Mix thoroughly.
Taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Store in a container and refrigerate. Add a few drops of sesame oil before serving for enhanced flavor.
